Technique is a continuation of loop-processed music that started with Textures. However, the compositional process is far more abstract, with the music dictating the direction and creating the ambience. As the album began to take shape, it grew into an "action adventure" story with clear antagonists and protagonists. This was completely unexpected and a wonderful surprise as well.

While there is no definitive story, the music builds on linear textual ideas, as if a story were taking place. Each piece is a journey, a collection of images that convey a meaning or mood. There might be a linear connection between each track, but none was intended or planned.

The album is orchestral in nature with a fusing of electronic and acoustic sounds.
